Large "Bamboo" Handbuilt Pottery Vase 3-Day Workshop. In this workshop we will build a 10 inch cylindrical vase using hand building techniques. Day 1: Friday, Jan 19, 7-9pm, we will practice and learn the pottery hand building techniques needed for this project. Then we will roll a slab of clay for the cylinder and base and form them together. Day 2: Saturday, Jan 20, 7-9pm, while the clay is leather hard, we will add feet to the vase, shape the contour of the vase and add decorative texture to the surface. Day 3: Saturday, Jan 27, 3-5pm, we will glaze the bisque fired vase. No experience necessary. Recommended for ages 12 and up.
