Pottery Wheel Lessons: 1-8 people

Like to get your hands dirty? Curious about how to make pottery on the wheel?

Have you thrown before but need a refresher?

At Catalyst Creative Arts studio, get hands-on wheel lessons in a welcoming, friendly maker space.

No prior experience? No problem.

In a 90-minute lesson with personalized instruction, you'll learn beginner wheel skills including foundational elements like centering clay, opening, and lifting. You'll apply these techniques, throwing a few forms that you get to keep.

Your pots will be bisque-fired and ready for you to glaze on a return visit to the studio, within about 1-2 weeks. We'll fire again and let you know when they are ready for pickup.

Scratch that creative itch and come away with the satisfaction of having shaped something with your own hands!

Pottery wheel lessons are available for individuals, couples, and groups from 1 to 8 people. They are a great experience for date nights, mommy-and-me, friend groups, birthday celebrations, homeschoolers, or just you. Appropriate for anyone who wants to get a little messy, ages 10 and up.

Prepare for your lesson!

• Be sure to wear clothes and shoes that can get dirty with clay.
• Trim your fingernails. nails should be no longer than the end of your fingertip.
• Tie long hair back.
• Relax and have fun!
