Water Marbling On Silk Scarf
We are so excited about this addictive activity that is fun for ages 6 an up! In this class, paint is applied to the surface of a special water bath. Floating the colors in our custom-built water marbling trays, combs, rakes and a stylus are used to create a one of a kind masterpiece silk scarf. The class begins with our artist giving instructions and making the first water marbled scarf to demonstrate multiple design techniques. Each person's first scarf is $50. Additional scarves per person are $30. We prepare the exact amount of material ahead of time for each class. No refunds or credits for cancellations less than 24 hours in advance or for no shows.

Hand Building Pottery Plate Workshop
Hand Building Pottery Plate Workshop. Learn pottery hand building techniques to make a 9 x 9 x 2 inch serving plate using clay slab, handbuilding tools, texture tools and a plaster mold. Glaze color will be selected at the end of the workshop and applied by the studio. Plates will be ready for pick up in about 2 weeks. All material and tools included. Recommended for age 11 and up.

Fused Glass
Fused glass is a fun activity using pieces of colored glass and a kiln to create customized projects like sun-catchers, earrings, pendants, fridge magnets and Christmas ornaments. Our artists will guide you through fused glass construction methods and glass cutting tool use. Projects will be left at the studio after the class and then fused in our kiln. They will be ready for pick up in about 2 weeks. No experience necessary. Recommended for 8 year old and up.

Friday Night Make A Mug - BYOB
Friday Night Make-A-Mug is a hand building pottery class. Using hand rolled slabs of clay, templates and texture tools, students will build their one of a kind favorite mug. Students will choose glaze colors at the end of class to be applied by our artist later. Mugs will be ready for pick up in about 2 weeks. Recommended for ages 10 and up.

Pottery Intensive Series, Two Day Workshop - Large Lidded Jar (limited to 5 people)
Day 1 - Multiple techniques used to make a large lidded jar will be demonstrated by the instructor and then practiced by students. A practice session follows each demonstrated technique. Techniques include: spiral wedging, centering large lumps of clay, using less water, throwing large forms, developing a rim and gallery to accept a lid and making 3 different lid types. Instructor will be working one on one with each student during practice sessions.
Day 2 - Techniques will be reviewed and demonstrated and students will continue to practice and focus on techniques of their choosing. Pottery trimming demonstration and trimming practice using the forms made on Day 1, with a focus on gallery/lid fitment. Students can choose up to 3 pieces to be bisque fired.

This workshop is designed for potters who are well practiced in wheel throwing fundamentals.
All material and tools provided. Potters are welcome to bring their own tools.

Techniques include: spiral wedging, centering large lumps of clay, using less water, throwing large forms and joining them together to be shaped into a single form.
