Hand Built Pottery Planter - With Potter Jarid Parker

Join our hand-building pottery class and create a hexagon-shaped planter from start to finish. This beginner-friendly workshop focuses on the techniques needed to build strong geometric forms: slip-and-score construction, reinforcing joints, and using texture rollers to add surface interest. You’ll learn how to plan and assemble each facet of the planter, refine edges, and apply decorative textures for a professional look. During the session you’ll construct your own textured planter in the studio, choose a glaze color from our selection, and leave the firing and final finishing to our experienced staff. Finished pieces will be glazed, fired, and ready for pickup approximately two weeks after class. Perfect for makers who want to expand their hand-building skills and take home a functional, sculptural planter. Recommend for ages 12 and up.
