Pottery Share & Learn Social is a free community event to support local artists. These monthly social events are for networking, discussing products and techniques, sharing information, developing resources and having FUN! Open to anyone looking to meet other people and engage a community of local artists. No pottery experience necessary. BYOB

Pottery Wheel Boot Camp is a full day working camp designed for pottery wheel hobbyists and beginners with some experience. The class will focus on strengthening pottery wheel fundamentals and troubleshooting various process difficulties for each potter. Techniques will be demonstrated by Jaime Marum followed by practicing time for the class. Lunch is provided. Clay is unlimited for practice. Students will select up to 3 pieces to be bisque fired. Students must be able to center clay. Class size is limited to 6 people.

Day1 / 6.5hrs- Multiple techniques used to make a large lidded jar will be demonstrated by the instructor and then practiced by students. A practice session follows each demonstrated technique. Techniques include: spiral wedging, centering large lumps of clay, using less water, throwing large forms, developing a rim and gallery to accept a lid and making 3 different lid types. Instructor will be working one on one with each student during practice sessions. Day 2 - 6.5hrs - Techniques will be reviewed and demonstrated and students will continue to practice and focus on techniques of their choosing. Pottery trimming demonstration and trimming practice using the forms made on Day 1, with a focus on gallery/lid fitment. Students can choose up to 3 pieces to be bisque fired. Saturday & Sunday, Feb 21-22, 10am-430pm, $375 This workshop is designed for potters who are well practiced in wheel throwing fundamentals. All material and tools provided. Potters are welcome to bring their own tools.
